About Third Life

Hey there! I'm Madalyn, the owner and chandler (I totally knew that name and didn't have to Google it.) behind Third Life Candle Company. What is the meaning behind the name you probably aren't asking? Well here's what you didn't ask for. 

It was all born out of what my husband called my 'third life crisis'. I was feeling the guilt of always being gone in the evenings and on the weekends to do photo shoots. (I also have a photography business) I was ready to have a job that would allow me more time with the girls. I've wanted to have a product based business for a long time and we love candles so it seemed like a good fit. I love the idea of making something with my hands and then getting to share it with other people far beyond my small reach in Oklahoma. So that is how Third Life was born. I had tried a few other names and nothing quite was sticking. So my husband jokingly threw it out that I should name it Third Life not thinking I'd latch on and I did. (Have I mentioned how incredibly amazing and supportive he is?)

My big vision is what if they grew beyond me! What if this grew to something where I needed to hire people to help me. I would love to be able to employ other moms who want to work while the kids are in school and be home when they get home from school. As a mom I know how hard it is to find part time work that only has hours from like 8-2. My hope is someday this could be a place for those women to find a place of community and financially contribute to their family.
